Westbound Xenia and Parrot. Most of the Rt 4 overhead was ripped down and replaced in 1993. It was part of a project to see how much it would cost to replace overhead throughout the city with more modern
system. Part of the idea was the elimination of feeder cable. The overhead here was of a heavier gauge wire suspended from different trolley ears than you see here. The heavy gauge contact wire and modern ears were replaced with conventional wire and ears but no feeder cable was ever added to this part of the Rt 4. May 23, 2010
