Eastown Arches. These trolleybus wire arches look good and are a fan favorite. Unfortunately until the wire is strung to close the gap on the Rt 4 West there are no regularly scheduled trolleybuses on the
Rt 4 through here. The 3 has several trips but they have been operated with diesels. The BBC group got off the trolleybus at the Eastown Hub and walked through the parking lot to get their picture of 110 coming under the arches.
I parked my Ford just to the right of this picture and ran like Hell back to the Hub to board the BBC for the last two shots. As it turned out this would be the extent of my ride on 110 for the day. The picture also shows the older style farebox still having a one dollar fare. Don't worry, I paid my excursion fare and had a lot of fun chasing, somebody has to do it. May 23, 2010
